Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA) has resolved that the pump price and wholesale prices of petrol be revised downwards effective 6th August 2022. It was also resolved that pump prices and wholesale prices for diesel and paraffin be maintained as implemented on 23rd June 2022.
This follows MERA Board’s assessment of the impact of FOB price and exchange rate movements on the landed cost of petroleum products into the country.
Fuel wholesale and pump prices have therefore been adjusted as follows:
